CHAPTER FIVE

The Test that Reveals the Truth

Faith always grows until faith encounters testing. Months of progress had passed when Brad suddenly faced news that shook everything he believed had been improving.

An opportunity he deeply hoped for seemed to disappear. Unexpected financial pressure arrived. Relationships that once felt steady suddenly carried strain. Everything appeared to shift at once.

Fear returned for a season. Old thoughts resurfaced. Old panic returned. Old heaviness attempted to reclaim territory within him. The ground beneath his feet felt unstable once again.

Something had changed though. Brad no longer stood inside the storm alone.

That evening Gabriel climbed into his lap and quietly placed his hand across Brad's chest.

“Daddy,” Gabriel said softly, “Jesus told me to tell you something.”

Brad looked down. “What did Jesus say?”

Gabriel smiled. “He already fixed everything.”

“You just cannot see everything yet.”

“He said you can rest now.”

Emotion immediately rose within Brad. The words felt too pure. Too specific. Too meaningful. Too full of peace. Coincidence could not explain moments like this.

Later that night Brad prayed again. The same familiar presence from previous weeks quietly surrounded him. No fear remained. No panic remained. Only peace.

Then a whisper settled deeply into his spirit.

“You never lost anything.”

“You were being positioned.”

Tears streamed down his face. Faith had carried him through another test. Not perfectly. Not instantly. Yet completely. Jesus had remained faithful again.
