Chapter 2

When Grace Chooses the Overlooked

Grace has a way of moving toward the margins. Grace does not seek polished platforms or positions of influence first. Grace often begins where hope feels weakest and where rejection has spoken most loudly.

Scripture repeatedly reveals a pattern. Abraham emerged from obscurity. Joseph rose from prison. Moses stepped from exile into calling. David was overlooked while others stood taller and stronger.

Mary was visited in Nazareth rather than Jerusalem. Fishermen and tax collectors became apostles. The Samaritan woman became a messenger after years of brokenness.

These stories reveal something beautiful about the heart of God. Human systems often elevate status. God repeatedly lifts surrender.

Grace is not a transaction. Grace is a gift. Human striving cannot purchase belonging. Human effort cannot secure redemption.

Rejection writes scripts within hearts. Those scripts say you are less. Those scripts say you are late. Those scripts say you have been forgotten.

Grace interrupts every false script with a greater word. You are chosen. You are loved. You are seen.

Revival often begins within places the world ignores. Kitchens become altars. Living rooms become places of prayer. Families become witnesses of hope.

The verdict that once said you are nothing now meets a stronger voice. Grace says you are positioned for purpose and transformation.

God does not search for flawless people. God searches for surrendered hearts.
