Scripture as a Mirror, Not a Weapon
Seeing Scripture as guidance rather than judgment
The Bible is powerful. Words within Scripture bring life, wisdom, and clarity. Truth can heal wounds, reveal God's love, and guide every step of a journey.
Scripture can also become weaponized. Words become twisted, misquoted, or unevenly applied to shame, judge, and control.
Jesus repeatedly confronted religious leaders who knew every rule yet overlooked mercy, compassion, and understanding.
The Pharisees understood law. Jesus revealed the heart behind the law. That difference mattered.
Think of the Good Samaritan. Love crossed boundaries. Compassion moved beyond assumptions. Kindness mattered more than status.
Scripture functions beautifully as a mirror. Mirrors reveal hearts. Mirrors reveal growth. Mirrors reveal places needing healing.
Fear asks: Who deserves exclusion? Love asks: Who needs mercy?
Even misunderstood passages continue offering light, wisdom, and hope.
You never need fear God's heart. You never need fear being fully seen. You are still whole. You are still seen. You are still loved.
