Scripture
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.” Philippians 4:6
Devotion
Worry is a thief. It robs us of peace, rest, and clarity. It keeps us stuck in cycles of “what if” and “what now,” choking our confidence and stealing our joy.
God has given us a better way: prayer.
Instead of spiraling into anxiety, He calls us to bring every situation, big or small, to Him. Not just in moments of crisis, but everything we do and speak. Every conversation, every plan, every step, every fear, God wants to be in it all.
Prayer isn’t a backup plan. It’s our first response.
When we pray, we shift the weight off our shoulders and place it into the hands of the One who sees the beginning from the end. Prayer reminds our soul that we’re not alone. When we live like that; trusting God instead of trying to control everything ourselves, peace begins to take root.
So today, don’t overthink it. Don’t try to carry it all.
Don’t worry, pray.
