Scripture:
“Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body and members one of another.” Ephesians 4:25
Devotion:
In the body of Christ, our words matter; not just because of what we say, but because of who we represent. When someone spreads lie or causes division among believers, it hurts Christian friendship. Sometimes, those same people keep leading, singing, or teaching, as if nothing’s wrong.
God sees past the show. He looks at the heart. True worship isn’t just about raising hands or singing, it’s about walking in truth, humility, and repentance. Jesus himself warned against hypocrisy, saying, “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” (Matthew 15:8)
If we’ve hurt others, we’re called to make things right. If we’ve been hurt, we’re called to respond not with bitterness, but with grace and wisdom. In all things, we must try to build up the body, not tear it down.
Prayer:
Lord, search my heart and help me to walk in truth. Let my words be honest, my actions pure, and my worship sincere. Heal any division in our midst and let Your Spirit reign in unity and peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
