Preface

The beginning of the journey

I never planned to write a devotional like this.

Growing up as the child of a prophet, I was raised under the weight of spiritual expectation. I knew the language of church. I understood the structure, the flow of service, and the doctrines, including the precepts of what many called the Trinity. Something deep inside me never quite settled.

I always had questions. Not to rebel, but to understand. Yet, every time I asked, I was met with silence, deflection, or shame. It felt like my curiosity disqualified me, like I was supposed to follow blindly while my heart whispered, “There has to be more.” So, I stopped asking out loud and started searching in secret.

That search led me to Jesus.

Not Jesus as one piece of a divided Godhead, but Jesus as God Himself, the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9). Not a mystery to avoid, but a revelation to embrace. Not three to pray to, but One Lord, One faith, One baptism (Ephesians 4:5).

This devotional was born out of my journey.

Though I was raised in the presence of power, I still found myself broken by people who claimed to speak for God. I knew how to serve, how to shout, how to show up, yet still felt left behind. I found Jesus for myself and His truth, that’s when the healing began.

This book is for the wounded, the silenced, the overlooked. For those who were taught what to believe but never invited to ask why. For those still recovering from church hurt, spiritual pressure, or the sting of unanswered questions. If you’ve ever felt left out in the very place that should have embraced you. This is for you.

Each devotion is short and rooted in scripture, but more than anything, it’s soaked in honesty. My prayer is that these words will walk with you gently; through your healing, through your awakening, and into the truth of the One who never confused you, never pushed you away, and never required a title to reach you. His name is Jesus. He is not just part of the story. He is the story.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.” Deuteronomy 6:4

“And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.” Colossians 2:10

Welcome to the journey of healing, truth, and Oneness.

With love,

Bradley
