Radically Living for Jesus

Acts 1:8

Scripture:

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Devotion:

Living fully for Jesus means giving Him everything. A life filled with the Holy Spirit reflects boldness, purpose, and transformation. Jesus does not ask for a portion. He calls for surrender.

His presence refines the heart, reshapes desires, and redirects purpose. What once mattered begins to fade, and what reflects Him begins to grow.

Jesus Is a Transforming Fire

His fire does not destroy. His fire transforms. It removes what does not belong and replaces it with love, strength, and purpose. When people see your life, they should see evidence of Him.

Live the Word

Faith is not limited to knowledge. Faith is demonstrated through action. Words, decisions, and attitudes become a reflection of truth lived out daily.

Be a Testimony

Every life tells a story. A surrendered life tells a story of mercy, healing, and grace. That testimony has the power to reach hearts that words alone cannot.

Reflect Jesus

Many may never open a Bible. They will, however, encounter your life. Your response, your love, and your integrity become a visible expression of who He is.

Live Without Fear

The Spirit produces boldness. Fear does not define your walk. Power, love, and discipline shape how you live and how you represent Him.

Challenge for Today

• Am I allowing Jesus to transform every area of my life?
• Does my life reflect His truth and love consistently?
• Am I living with boldness where I am right now?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, remove anything in me that does not reflect You. Fill me with Your Spirit, boldness, and love. Let my life point others to You in every environment. Use me for Your glory and purpose. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Story Time

The High School Student Who Refused to Blend In

Marcus was a senior in high school. He loved basketball, spent time with friends, and was known for being easygoing. After fully surrendering his life to Jesus at a youth service, something changed. Blending in no longer felt possible.

He stopped laughing at crude jokes in the locker room. He stepped away from weekend parties. He started a small Bible study in the cafeteria during lunch.

Reactions came quickly. Some friends distanced themselves. Others mocked him. Teachers questioned whether faith conversations were appropriate on school grounds.

Marcus remained steady. He kept showing up. He kept sharing truth. He kept praying with those who quietly asked for help.

One day, a teammate who had once mocked him came in broken. His parents were divorcing, and he had nowhere to turn. In the middle of the gym, Marcus prayed with him as others stood silently watching.

By the end of the year, several students had joined his Bible study. One decision to live openly for Jesus created a ripple effect across the school.

Marcus did not wait for a platform. He lived boldly where he was.

Story Tie-In:

Marcus’s school became his mission field. His willingness to stand firm reflected the call to be a witness in everyday life. Bold, Spirit-led obedience created impact beyond what he could see at the start.

He did not wait for permission. He responded with faith. His life became a visible testimony that pointed others toward Jesus.

Moral:

Living boldly for Jesus may cost comfort and approval, yet it produces lasting impact. Faith lived openly creates opportunities for transformation in the lives of others.
