Stand on the Rock — Even When You Slip

2 Timothy 2:13

Scripture:

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13

Devotion:

Inconsistency can feel discouraging. Some days feel strong and steady. Other days feel uncertain and scattered. Faith can feel firm in one moment and fragile in the next.

God does not shift with those changes. His nature remains steady. His promises remain secure. His faithfulness does not rise or fall with human weakness.

Even in moments of struggle, He remains true. Even when focus drifts, He holds firm. Even when failure happens, He does not move away.

Faithfulness is not something God turns on and off. Faithfulness defines who He is.

That truth changes everything. His love does not depend on performance. His presence does not withdraw in weakness. His character remains constant in every season.

Grace is not permission to stay down. Grace provides strength to rise again.

Return becomes possible because He never left. Restoration begins because He remained.

Stand again. Not on your strength, but on His unchanging truth.

Reflection:

• Where have you felt inconsistent in your faith?
• Are you trusting your performance or His character?
• What step can you take today to return fully to Him?

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your unchanging faithfulness. When I feel weak or inconsistent, remind me that You remain steady. Strengthen me to rise, return, and stand firmly in Your truth. Shape my life to reflect Your faithfulness in every area. In Jesus’ name, amen.
