Scripture
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]” Matthew 11:28
Devotion
You’re trying.
Trying to show up.
Trying to stay on time.
Trying to hold it all together.
When your mind is chaos, even the small things feel heavy. You ask for prayer, but nothing seems to shift. You make plans, but your energy doesn’t cooperate. You care deeply, so deeply; it feels like you’re failing on every front.
Here’s truth: God never asked you to be everything. He never demanded perfection or constant productivity.
He just said, “Come.”
Come to Him. Tired, messy, behind. Come to Him with your missed alarms, your full plate, your frustrated tears. He’s not disappointed. He’s not annoyed. He’s not counting how many times you’ve asked for help.
He’s just glad you are still coming. When you do, He meets you with rest, not the kind that comes from sleep, but the kind that breathes peace into the center of your chaos.
Prayer
Jesus, I’m overwhelmed. I keep dropping balls and missing things, and I feel like I’m falling behind in life. Calm my mind. Carry the pieces I can’t hold right now. Help me find rest in You, even when everything feels like too much. I don’t have enough of me, but You are enough. In Jesus’ name, amen.
