You Should’ve Killed Me When You Had the Chance

Scripture

“I shall not die but live and shall declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the Lord.” Psalm 118:17

Devotion

When the enemy had you down, he should’ve finished the job. Now, you’re louder, bolder, and on fire for Jesus. He came to your mind. He came for your voice. He came for your purpose. He failed.

You were broken, bleeding, maybe even silent for a while. The Spirit of God kept breathing over you. Now, instead of being quiet, you’re testifying. Instead of hiding, you’re stepping forward. You’ve been through hell and came back with fire in your bones. You’re the one who wasn’t supposed to get back up. But now, you’re shouting grace. You’re declaring healing. You’re preaching freedom.

The enemy should’ve killed your praise, silenced your worship, and buried your purpose, Jesus stepped in. And now, like Lazarus, you’ve walked out of the tomb with resurrection power.

Prophetic Word

You are not just surviving; you are a sound. A trumpet. A testimony. You’re a living declaration of God’s mercy. Hell is terrified, because the voice you found in the pit is now echoing into places darkness thought it owned.

Prayer

Jesus, I thank You that when the enemy tried to take me out, You held me together. Let my life declare Your works loudly. I won’t shut up, I’ll praise, I’ll preach, I’ll testify. What once crushed me now fuels me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
