Never Too Far Gone

Luke 19:10 • Romans 5:8

← Return to Faith & Trust

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus Came for the Broken

Many people quietly believe they have gone too far from God.

Shame whispers:

“You have failed too many times.”

“You are too broken.”

“You cannot be restored anymore.”

Though the Gospel was never created for perfect people.

Jesus did not come merely to tolerate broken people. Jesus came specifically to save them.

The Gospel reaches the ashamed, addicted, exhausted, angry, overwhelmed, wounded, and lost.

Grace exists precisely because humanity could never save itself alone.

The Cross Changed Everything

If sin could permanently disqualify someone from salvation, the cross would never have been necessary.

Jesus already knew every failure, weakness, secret, wound, and mistake before giving His life willingly.

Still, He chose the cross.

No darkness remains greater than His mercy.

No failure remains stronger than His grace.

The cross stands as proof that God's love reaches farther than human brokenness.

When Words Feel Impossible

Some people become so wounded internally they no longer know how to pray clearly.

Exhaustion replaces words. Shame silences the heart. Fear convinces people to hide from God rather than run toward Him.

Though Heaven does not require polished prayers.

You do not need perfect understanding before coming to Jesus.

Sometimes all faith can manage is whispering:

“Help me.”

That whisper still reaches Heaven.

Examples of Grace Throughout Scripture

The Prodigal Son

The son expected rejection after wasting everything, though the father ran toward him with restoration, compassion, and celebration.

The Thief on the Cross

A guilty man dying beside Jesus still received mercy and paradise during his final moments.

Mary Magdalene

Jesus delivered her from darkness and honored her as one of the first witnesses of His resurrection.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Hope still exists.

Grace still reaches.

Jesus still saves.

Prayer

Jesus, sometimes I feel broken, ashamed, exhausted, and far away from You. Still, I believe Your mercy reaches farther than my failures. I bring You every wound, fear, mistake, and hidden burden within me. Teach my heart to trust Your grace again. Help me believe that salvation remains possible because of who You are, not because of my own strength. Thank You for seeking lost people like me with compassion and love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
