“To the pure, all things are pure...” Titus 1:15a
“For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His.” 2 Chronicles 16:9a
Pain can train hearts to expect disappointment even during beautiful seasons.
Many people survive so many storms that peace eventually feels suspicious.
Joy begins feeling temporary.
Love feels dangerous.
Hope starts looking like a setup for heartbreak.
Some people stop expecting goodness long before God stops offering it.
Fear often disguises itself as wisdom, caution, or emotional protection.
Still, constant suspicion quietly steals the ability to receive blessings freely.
Healing the Way We See
God desires healing deeper than circumstances alone.
He heals perspective, expectation, trust, and spiritual vision.
Many wounded hearts continue searching for storms even after entering seasons filled with grace.
Healing sometimes means learning how to trust goodness again.
Faith does not deny hardship from the past.
Faith simply refuses allowing past wounds to define every future promise.
God’s goodness does not come with hidden traps attached.
Learning to Receive Joy
Some people know how to survive pain better than receive peace.
Disappointment taught them how to brace emotionally long before joy arrived.
Still, God invites His people toward something healthier than constant emotional defense.
Not every blessing hides a storm behind it.
The Lord searches for hearts willing to trust Him fully rather than remain trapped within suspicion and fear.
His heart remains good even after difficult seasons.
The Umbrella in the Garden
Alina carried an umbrella every day regardless of the weather.
Bright skies changed nothing internally.
Too many painful seasons convinced her another storm always waited nearby.
One afternoon she entered a beautiful garden after receiving an invitation from the King Himself.
Peace filled the atmosphere.
Laughter echoed softly nearby.
Still, she remained tense while gripping the umbrella tightly beside her.
“You don’t have to brace for rain anymore.”
The King spoke gently rather than critically.
Alina looked around slowly for signs of danger yet found none.
God’s goodness is not a trick waiting to disappear suddenly.
For the first time in years, she lowered the umbrella.
Peace entered places fear had guarded for far too long.
Prayer
Father, heal every place within me expecting disappointment even while You are offering goodness and peace.
Teach my heart how to trust Your love without suspicion, fear, or constant emotional defense.
Help me stop searching for storms behind every blessing and strengthen my faith to receive joy freely.
Let healing reshape the way I see Your promises, presence, and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
