"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

Throughout the New Testament, the apostles preached, baptized, healed, and prayed in the name of Jesus Christ. His name was not merely a title spoken in worship but the revelation of the Savior through whom God accomplished redemption.

Peter boldly proclaimed before the rulers of Israel that salvation is found in no other name. The early church placed its complete confidence in Jesus Christ, believing that His name carries authority, power, mercy, and everlasting hope.

To call upon the name of Jesus is to trust wholly in His finished work, His resurrection, and His lordship. The apostles continually pointed believers away from themselves and toward the One whose name is exalted above every name.

The Name Revealed

Jesus declared the Father through His life, His words, and His sacrifice. The apostles understood that the saving work of God was fully revealed in Jesus Christ, and they faithfully proclaimed His name to every nation.

From Pentecost forward, believers gladly confessed Jesus as both Lord and Christ, finding forgiveness, hope, and new life through faith in Him.

The Name Proclaimed

From the Day of Pentecost onward, the apostles consistently proclaimed the name of Jesus Christ. They preached repentance, baptized believers in His name, healed the sick, and boldly testified that Jesus is both Lord and Messiah.

Their confidence rested not in human ability but in the authority of the risen Savior. The name of Jesus represented His person, His power, and His continuing work among His people through the Holy Ghost.

The Name That Saves

Scripture declares that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. His sinless life, sacrificial death, victorious resurrection, and glorious exaltation provide the only foundation for our redemption and reconciliation with God.

The apostles called every believer to place their faith completely in Jesus Christ, trusting His grace and responding to His gospel with repentance, baptism in His name, and a life of faithful discipleship.

The Name We Continue to Honor

The church continues to gather in the name of Jesus, pray in His name, worship His name, and proclaim His name to the world. Every act of ministry and every expression of worship points beyond ourselves to the One who alone is worthy of glory and praise.

To live in the name of Jesus is to walk in humility, obedience, and love, reflecting His character through the power of the Holy Ghost. The apostles did not simply speak His name—they devoted their lives to following Him.

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth."

The name of Jesus remains the hope of every believer and the message of the church. It is the name proclaimed at Pentecost, the name confessed by the apostles, and the name through which God continues to call men and women into repentance, forgiveness, and a continuing life in the Holy Ghost.
