THE STRENGTH IN TRUTH

Epilogue

Full Circle

Three years later the shelter carried a new name.

The Grace House

The building was not large. The walls were not perfect. Still, warmth lived there. Laughter echoed there. Second chances grew there.

Above the entrance hung a carved wooden sign. Words Bobby believed with his whole heart.

Love without truth becomes empty. Truth spoken in love restores.

Bobby no longer slept beneath bridges. No longer wondered where his next meal would come from. He worked at the shelter. He mentored men coming off the streets. He helped carry hope.

The monthly check still arrived. Groceries. Repairs. Shoes for someone in need. Money still left his hands. The difference now lived in his heart.

Bobby no longer gave from guilt. Bobby gave from grace.

One afternoon sunlight poured through dusty windows. A woman stepped through the shelter doors carrying donations. Kind eyes. A familiar smile.

Grace.

"You probably don't remember me."

Bobby smiled softly.

"I remember."

"You gave me a prayer that changed my life."

Tears gathered in Grace's eyes.

"And you lived that prayer."

Silence filled the room. Warm. Peaceful. Complete.

Later that night Bobby sat alone with his old Bible. Inside rested Grace's folded paper. Worn. Fragile. Still whole.

"Thank You, Jesus."

"You took a broken man and made him a vessel of mercy."

"You did not just give me shelter."

"You made me one."

Outside the city kept moving. Cars passed. Sirens echoed. Life continued. Inside The Grace House a warm light glowed through the window. A reminder that forgotten people can still be found. Wounded hearts can still become healers.

Bobby once searched for purpose in being needed. Now he found peace in being known by Jesus.
