Every question about salvation begins with one Person. Before we ask what we must do, we must first discover who Jesus Christ truly is according to the Scriptures.

Jesus Christ Is the Foundation
The identity of Jesus Christ is the most important truth anyone will ever study. Everything about salvation, faith, redemption, and eternal life begins with knowing who He is. Before asking what Christ can do for us, we must first understand what the Scriptures reveal about Him.

Who Does the Bible Say Jesus Is?
Many people have opinions about Jesus Christ. Some call Him a great teacher. Others believe He was merely a prophet or an influential historical figure. The most important question, however, is not what people say about Jesus, but what the Scriptures reveal.
Throughout the Bible, God reveals the identity of Jesus Christ with remarkable clarity. As you read the following passages, take time to consider what each one teaches about Him.
Jesus Christ Is the Promised Messiah
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.Luke 2:11
From the very beginning, God promised that a Savior would come. The birth of Jesus Christ was not an accident of history but the fulfillment of God's eternal plan of redemption.
Jesus Christ Reveals God to Us
He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.John 14:9
Jesus did not come merely to teach people about God. Through His life, His words, and His works, He revealed the Father and demonstrated God's love, mercy, holiness, and truth.
Jesus Christ Came to Save
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.Luke 19:10
The mission of Jesus Christ was centered on salvation. He came to rescue those who were separated from God by sin and to offer forgiveness, reconciliation, and eternal life.
Jesus Christ Is the Only Savior
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.Acts 4:12
The Bible does not present Jesus as one option among many. He alone is the Savior of the world. Every person who desires forgiveness and eternal life must come to Him.
What Does This Mean?
Knowing Jesus Changes Everything
Knowing about Jesus is not the same as knowing Him personally. The Scriptures invite us into a relationship with the One who gave Himself for us. As you continue this journey, ask yourself whether your understanding of Jesus comes from the Bible and whether your life reflects faith in Him.
Every other study in this library builds upon this truth. If Jesus Christ truly is the Savior revealed in Scripture, then every decision we make should be shaped by who He is and what He has done for us.

Lord Jesus, Thank You for revealing Yourself through Your Word. Open my understanding as I continue to study the Scriptures. Help me to know You more deeply, trust You more completely, and faithfully follow wherever You lead. Give me a heart that desires truth above opinion and obedience above convenience. Let Your Word transform my life and draw me closer to You each day. Amen.
