Scripture quotations throughout Changed are identified by their respective biblical references. Every effort has been made to present Scripture faithfully and accurately within the context of the reflections contained in this book.

Readers are encouraged to study the Word of God personally, seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and examine every teaching in light of Scripture.

Purpose of This Book

Changed was written to encourage readers in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to invite them into a deeper understanding of what it means to surrender their lives to Him. Its purpose is to strengthen faith, encourage spiritual growth, and point every reader toward a genuine and faithful walk with Jesus Christ.

This book is also deeply personal. It was written from my own experiences, questions, struggles, faith, and understanding of the world around me. Being autistic has been one part of that journey and has shaped the way I experience, process, and understand many aspects of life. There have been times when I have felt different, misunderstood, overlooked, or out of place, but those experiences have also helped me recognize that my identity cannot ultimately be defined by how other people understand me.

My autism is part of my story, but it is not the center of my story. Jesus Christ is. The purpose of Changed is not to suggest that becoming changed means becoming someone else or erasing the qualities that make each person unique. Instead, it is about allowing Jesus Christ to transform the heart, shape our character, guide our choices, and teach us how to live faithfully with everything He has entrusted to us.

The reflections, illustrations, personal observations, and experiences contained in this book represent my own perspective and are offered for Christian encouragement, biblical reflection, and personal spiritual growth. They are not intended to replace personal study of Scripture, pastoral guidance, or individual discernment before God.

My hope is that readers from many different backgrounds will be able to see themselves somewhere within these pages, especially those who have ever felt different, misunderstood, rejected, or as though they did not quite fit where they were expected to fit. More importantly, I hope every reader discovers that Jesus Christ sees beyond the labels, expectations, and opinions of people and calls us into a deeper relationship with Him.

The message of Changed is therefore not that we must become someone we are not. It is that we can surrender who we are, where we have been, what we have experienced, and what we carry to Jesus Christ and allow Him to continue His transforming work within us.
