Upcoming Computer Classes for adults interested in learning basic computer skills for everyday life

Ready to learn the basics?

Technology for Life is for adults who want practical computer skills for everyday life. If computers were not part of your world when you were growing up, that does not mean you cannot become confident using them today.

Register Now

You do not need computer experience to register.

Technology for Life welcomes adults at different levels of computer experience. You do not need to be an expert, and you do not need to understand computer terminology before attending.

Our first phase is designed to build from the beginning, so learners can establish a strong foundation before moving into more advanced everyday skills.

What you need to participate

01

Be an Adult Learner

The program is designed for adults who want to learn or strengthen their computer skills.

02

Use a Compatible Computer

All classes are online through Microsoft Teams. A Windows laptop is preferred, Chromebooks are welcome, and compatible desktop computers may be used. Mac specific instruction is limited.

03

Participate in Learning

Active learner participation is required. Each learner is expected to attend, pay attention, practice, ask questions, make a genuine effort to learn, and contribute positively to the classroom environment.

04

Join Through Microsoft Teams

All classes are online, and no physical class location is available. Download and install the Microsoft Teams app before class. It is required for participation, along with reliable internet access.

05

Plan for the Session

A typical learning session is planned for at least six weeks, meeting one day each week for two hours. Some studies may take less time, while hands on studies may require additional weeks.

Learning requires your participation.

Technology for Life is built around hands on learning. Learners are expected to participate in the learning process regardless of their current skill level. Participation means being present, paying attention, practicing the skills being taught, asking questions when something is unclear, making a genuine effort, and treating the learning environment with respect.

You do not have to know everything. You do have to participate.

Registration should feel easy.

You are not being tested before you begin.

There is no entrance exam. There is no need to prove that you already understand computers. We meet you where you are and build from there.

Your willingness to learn is enough.

The classes are free, and money is never a condition of participation.

Technology for Life does not charge tuition. Financial donations are welcome when a learner is able and chooses to give, but donating money is never required for registration, attendance, or participation.

Every learner is expected to contribute through active participation in the learning process. Your time, attention, willingness to practice, patience, encouragement, and effort are meaningful contributions to the classroom.

No learner will be denied participation because they cannot make a financial donation.
