CLASS SCHEDULE

Make time to learn something new.

Technology for Life classes are designed for adults who want a welcoming opportunity to learn computer skills at a pace that allows time for instruction, hands on practice, questions, and review.

One evening a week. Two hours at a time.

A typical learning session is planned for at least six weeks, meeting one day each week for two hours. This is a minimum framework rather than a rigid finish date. Individual studies may take less or more time depending on the topic, the amount of hands on work, repetition, questions, and individual support learners need.

Each learning session is planned for a minimum of six weekly meetings.

WEEKLY FORMAT

CLASS FORMAT

Online Through Microsoft Teams

All classes take place online. No physical class location is available. The Microsoft Teams app must be downloaded and installed before class.

Not every study takes the same amount of time.

Some topics can be introduced and practiced within a shorter period. Other studies require more hands on work, repetition, troubleshooting, or individual assistance. The six week minimum gives the program room to teach foundational skills without treating every learner or every topic as if it moves at the same speed.

MINIMUM SESSION FORMAT6 Weeks • 1 Day Each Week • 2 Hours

Additional time may be added when a study benefits from more practice and support.

Participation is required.

Technology for Life is a hands on learning program, so every learner is expected to participate in the learning process regardless of current skill level. Participation includes attending, paying attention, practicing the skills being taught, asking questions, making a genuine effort to learn, and contributing positively to the classroom environment.

You do not have to know everything. You do have to participate.

The classes are free, and money is never a condition of participation.

Technology for Life does not charge tuition for learners. Financial donations are welcome when a learner is able and chooses to give, but donating money is never required for registration, attendance, or participation.

Every learner is expected to contribute through active participation in the learning process. Your time, attention, willingness to practice, patience, encouragement, and effort are meaningful contributions.

Participation is required regardless of a learner's ability to make a financial contribution.

Classes are being developed.

Our first schedule will be published once online session dates and meeting instructions are established.
